Daniel Serna

He trained as an architect and then picked up a chisel — and somewhere in Pietrasanta, carving Carrara marble, it became clear he'd found the right medium. He works in stone the way architects work in space: with an understanding of mass, weight, and what a material owes to its environment. Marble is not decoration in his hands — it is argument, presence, and in some pieces, monument. His practice sits at the intersection of architecture and sculpture, where permanence is the point and material is the argument.
