These terms cover metaphoricshop.com and any order placed through it. Metaphoric is a trading name of World Design Studio Inc, 3800 N Lamar, Suite 100, Austin, Texas. Using the site means you accept these terms.
Our showroom
3800 N Lamar, Suite 100, Austin, Texas. Tuesday to Friday 10 to 5, Saturday 10 to 3, Monday by appointment, closed Sunday.
Products, prices and descriptions
We describe every piece as accurately as we can, and we photograph the actual pieces wherever possible. Natural materials vary: wood grain, marble veining, leather and hand-glazed ceramic will differ from piece to piece and from the photograph. That variation is the material, not a defect.
Screens render colour differently. For anything where colour matters, ask us for a sample before you order.
Prices are in US dollars and may change without notice. If a piece is listed at an obviously wrong price, we may cancel the order and refund you in full rather than honour it; we will always tell you why.
Orders
Your order is an offer to buy. It is accepted when we confirm it, not when you check out. We may decline an order, and if we do we refund you in full.
For made-to-order and custom pieces we confirm every specification with you in writing before production starts. A deposit is taken when you order, and its amount is confirmed with you on the order itself. You may cancel within three days of paying your deposit and we refund it in full. After that your order is in production and cannot be cancelled.
Delivery
We handle sourcing, ordering, inspection, shipping, customs clearance and white-glove delivery ourselves rather than handing you to a carrier. Delivery dates we give you are estimates. Ocean freight, customs and manufacturing schedules move, and we would rather tell you honestly when something slips than promise a date we do not control. We will keep you informed.
Risk of loss passes to you on delivery.
Returns
Governed by our Returns and Refunds policy, which forms part of these terms.
Trade
We work with interior designers, architects and stylists. Trade pricing and terms apply to approved trade accounts only, after an application we review individually.
Payment terms are agreed per account rather than published, because they depend on the account and the order. We will confirm yours in writing when your account is approved.
Trade pricing is confidential between us and the trade account holder and may not be passed on or published.
Intellectual property
The text, photographs and design of this site belong to us or to the brands and artists we represent. Do not reproduce them commercially without our written permission. Product names and brand marks belong to their owners.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, our liability for any order is limited to what you paid for it. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing here limits liability for anything that cannot lawfully be limited.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, and any dispute belongs in the state or federal courts sitting in Travis County, Texas.
Changes
We may update these terms. The version in force is the one published here on the day you order.
